Liliana Bernardo Born in Cosenza (Italy), May 18th 1961. Education 1985: Biological Science degree, full marks with honors. Current position 2015-present: Associate professor in systematic botany, Department of Biology, Ecology and Earth Sciences, University of Calabria, Italy. Previous positions 21995–2014: Assistant professor (Researcher) in environmental and applied botany, Department of Biology, Ecology and Earth Sciences, University of Calabria, Italy. 1987: Qualified as a professional biologist Research activities: Flora and vegetation of Calabria, mostly on wetlands and in high mountain areas. Conservation of threatened species and communities in the S-Apennines. Taxonomical phytogeographycal study on Genera: Paeonia, Campanula, Dianthus, Carduus, Genista, Onobrychis, Alyssum. Reproductive biology, demography and conservation ecology of endemic species or isolated plant populations (Plantago, Gentianella, Sarcopoterium, Dianthus) Relationship among climate, vegetation and soil; Global change biomonitoring in high-mountain areas of S-Apennines (Pollino Massif).
