CURRENT POSITION: I am Associate Professor of Geometry (dss MAT/03) at The Department of
Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Calabria - Italy.
RESEARCH INTERESTS: Algebraic Geometry, in particular I am interested in the theory of
deformations of curves and surfaces and Brill-Noether theory. The main results of my research
concern the study of families of curves on surfaces and deformations of curves singularities. My most recent works concern in particular families of curves on K3 surfaces and Enriques surfaces, spaces of modules of Enriques surfaces and related problems, such as "extension problems" and the study of particular sub-varieties of the moduli space of curves of genus g. Currently my research interests are also directed to the study of deformations of singular surfaces (and therefore to problems of compactification of moduli spaces of surfaces, problems of existence of singular surfaces and enumerative problems) and families of curves in varieties of dimension three.
