Fabrizio Angiulli was born on February 24, 1970, in Turin, Italy. In 1999, he received the Laurea degree in Computer Engineering with highest honors from the University of Calabria (UNICAL), Italy. From January 2001 to August 2006, he joined the Institute of High Performance Computing and Networking of the Italian National Research Council (ICAR-CNR) as a research technician. From September 2006 to December 2011 he has been an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electronics, Computer and System Sciences (DEIS), UNICAL. Since December 2011, he is an Associate Professor of Computer Engineering at DEIS-UNICAL. His research interests include data mining, outlier detection, classification, uncertain data, data indexing, knowledge representation and reasoning, and databases. He has published many articles in reputable journals and conferences, such as ACM Transactions on Knowledge Discovery from Data, ACM Transactions on Database Systems, ACM Transactions on Computational Logic, IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks, Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery, Artificial Intelligence, Theoretical Computer Science, Int. Conf. on Data Mining (ICDM), Int. Conf. on Machine Learning (ICML), Int. Conf. on Principles and Practice of Knowledge Discovery in Databases (PKDD), AAAI Conf. on Artificial Intelligence, Int. Joint Conf. on Artificial Intelligence (IJCAI), ACM Symp. on Principles of Database Systems (PODS). He serves as associate editor of the AI Communications journal in the area of Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery. He serves on program committees for several international conferences. He participated in a number of national and international projects dealing with computer engineering. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers) and Member of the ACM (Association for Computing Machinery).
