CLAUDIO SAVAGLIO is a Researcher at the Department of Computer Science, Modeling, Electronics and Systems Engineering (DIMES) of the University of Calabria, Italy, and at the ICAR-CNR (Institute forhigh performance computing and net-working of the Italian National Research Council), Italy. He received the Master degree in Computer Engineering (2013) and the Ph.D. degree in ICT (2018) both from the University of Calabria where he was also Postdoctoral Research Fellow. In 2020 he obtained the Italian National Scientific Habilitation to Associate Professor in information processing systems. Dr. Savaglio was a Visiting Researcher at the University of Texas at Dallas (TX, USA) in 2013, atthe New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJ, USA) in 2016, andat the Universitat Politècnica de València (Spain) in 2017. His research interests include the Internet of Things (IoT), network simulation, edge intelligence, and agent-oriented development methodologies. He has co-authored many scientific papers on the aforementioned topics which have been published in international journals, book chapters and conference proceedings.

He currently serves as Associate Editor for the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Magazine and Guest Editor for the Journal of Computers & Electrical Engineering (CAEE), Computer Communication, MDPI Sensors, Frontiers and IET journal. He has also served as a technical program committee member and reviewer for many premium conferences and journals in the areas of IoT, computer communications and networks. He is member of the Ph. D. board in ICT at University of Calabria and of National Ph.D. programme in Autonomous Systems (DAUSY) coordinated by Politecnico di Bari.
