Raffaele De Rose was born in Cosenza, Italy, in 1985. He received the B.S degree in Electronic Engineering (full grade cum laude), the M.S. in Electronic Engineering (full grade cum laude) and the Ph.D. degree in "Psychology of Programming and Artificial Intelligence" (Scientific field: ING/INF 01 Electronics) in 2007, 2009 and 2012, respectively, from the University of Calabria, Rende, Italy. He was a Research Fellow with the Advanced Research Center on Electronic Systems for Information and Communication Technologies “E. De Castro” (ARCES), University of Bologna, Bologna, Italy, from 2010 to 2013. He joined the Department of Computer Engineering, Modeling, Electronics and Systems Engineering (DIMES), University of Calabria, Rende, Italy, in 2015, where he is currently an Assistant Professor.
He has authored or co-authored more than 60 papers in international journals and conferences with peer-review. His primary research interests include device/circuit modeling and co-design in emerging technologies, ultralow-voltage and low-power CMOS circuit design, hardware-level security, electrical characterization of electronic devices.
He is a Senior Member of the IEEE and from 2021 an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on VLSI Systems.
