Pasquale Pace is an Associate Professor in Telecommunications at the University of Calabria working within the Department of Computer Engineering, Modeling, Electronics and Systems (DIMES).
He received his Master Degree in Computer Engineering and a PhD Degree in Computer and Systems Engineering from the University of Calabria, respectively in 2000 and 2005.
In 2005, he has been visiting researcher at CCSR (Centre forCommunication Systems Research) University of Surrey - Guildford - UK, working on Cost and Demand Sensitive models for evaluation of SDMB (Satellite DigitalMultimedia Broadcast) service over integrated satellite-terrestrial UMTS networks.
In 2006, he has been visiting researcher at Broadband and Wireless Networking Laboratory - Georgia Institute of Technology - Atlanta-USA, working on adaptive and responsive transport protocols for Wireless Mesh Networks.
He is author of more than 100 scientific papers in international journals, conferences, and books. His research interests include enabling intelligence at the network edge, cognitive and opportunistic networks, sensor and self-organized networks, and interoperability of the IoT platforms and devices. He is an Associate Editor of Telecommunication Systems journal, and he also served as an editor or a guest editor for several journals and special issue. In the last few years, he has been involved in several national and international research projects.
