Born in Cosenza in 1971 the 25th of March.
Graduated in chemistry in 1998 the 15th of May with full honors.
Title of the thesis: "New functionalizing strategies of glucopyranosides and their gas-phase interaction with amines"
Qualified to the chemistry profession in 1998.
One year fellowship in 1999 spent at professor Richard Caprioli's Mass Spectrometry Research Center/Vanderbilt University.
Ph. D. achieved in 2002; thesis title: "characterization of biomolecules by mass spectrometry"
Member of the Italian Chemistry Society (mass spectrometry division) from 2002
PhD achieved in 2002 (Cycle XV) in Chemical Sciences

He carries out his research activity at the transmed&agrifood laboratory located in the Chemistry and Chemical Technologies Department of the University of Calabria.

Mass spectrometry techniques for the quali-quantitative analysis of polar low and high molecular weight compounds;
Structural determination of natural compounds;
Proteomic analysis of natural sample by mass spectrometry;
The main research activities are:
Structural determination of polyfunctionalized molecules having nutraceutical interest and development of extraction procedures;
Development of quali/quantitative methodologies of analysis of natural and synthetic micro-components by mass spectrometry.
Development of new functional food through the enrichment with nutraceutical compounds
Development of extraction methods of natural compounds from complex matrixes.
