He was born in Cosenza on 1st January 1962. Ph. D. in Chemical Technologies and New Materials (University of Calabria - VII cicle - 1995). Master Degree in Civil Engineering (structural specialization) - 1988. Two-years grant at the CNR (National Research Council of Italy) - Computer science (CRAI - Research Center for Computer Science Applications- Rende). Three-years Ph.D. grant (1991-1994). Visiting Research Associate at West Virginia University - Morgantown - USA - Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (July-December 1992 - January-June 1994). Senior tutor in Theory of Structure (University of Calabria - Faculty of Engineering) - 1995. Two years grant at the CNR - ICITE (Central Institute for Industrialization and Technologies in Constructions) 1996-1997. Researcher - ex art. 36 - at CNR-ICITE - Rome - 1997-1998. Associate professor of Structural Mechanics (or Strength of Materials) at the University of Calabria - Faculty of engineering from 1998 (confirmed from 2001). At the present is teaching "Strength of Materials" and "Innovative materials and techniques in Structural Engineering" at the Master course of Enviromental Engineering and Civil Engineering. He is member of the Teachers boarding of the Ph.D. international school in "Hard Science and Technology - Bernardino Telesio" (computational mechanics sector) - University of Calabria.
