Main activities and responsibilities:
The main focus of the research activity concerns:
the study of new molecules as anticancer drugs;
the design, the synthesis and the biological evaluation of compounds of pharmaceutic interest;
the study and biological evaluation of several nutraceuticals.
Professor M.S. Sinicropi trained several PhD students and postdoctoral fellows and collaborates with numerous national and international research groups of the synthetic chemistry and nutraceutics.
She joins the Editorial board of journals in the pharmaceutical field and she has guest editor of numerous special issues regarding topics of medicinal chemistry.
Since 2014-2021 she has been Scientific Director of Master course of II level in “Nutrition and Nutraceutical Supplements-NIN- (Unical)
Since 2021 till today she has Scientific Director of Master course of II level in “Clinical Nutrition and Nutraceutical Supplements”-(Unical)
Since 2021 till today she is Coordinator of Degree Course in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology of the Department of Pharmacy,Health and Nutritional Sciences of the University of Calabria (Unical).
All these activities are collected and published as 167 original papers in international index journals,
3 books, 4 book chapters,5 patents, about a hundred of abstracts at national and international conferences and a lot of invited lectures and seminars.

- study of the role of several nutraceuticals in neurodegenerative diseases,
- study of the toxicity of various heavy metals.
