Fabrizio Greco has been a Full Professor of Structural Mechanics at the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Calabria, since 2017. Since 2001, he has participated in numerous research projects related to competitive grants funded by the Italian Ministry of Universities and Research (MUR), serving as Unit Coordinator in 2017 (PRIN Project “Multiscale Innovative Materials and Structures – MIMS”) and in 2022 (PRIN Project “Innovative Lattice Structures and Architectured Materials for Civil Engineering – ILAM”).

He has been included in the top 2% ranking of the best scientists in the world compiled by Stanford University, based on the SCOPUS database and published in the journal PLOS Biology, for the years 2019 to 2022. Additionally, he was included in the 2023 World Ranking of Best Scientists in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering published by Research.com. He acts as a reviewer for over 40 prestigious international journals and numerous public, international, and national research institutions.

He is the author of more than 290 scientific works, 128 of which are articles published in peer-reviewed international journals.

At the University of Calabria, he serves as the Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, the Rector’s Delegate for Heritage and Construction Planning since January 2020, and the Coordinator of the Rector’s Public Works Project Committee since March 2021
