Rocco Dominici is a geologist and associate professor in Stratigraphy and Sedimentology at the Department of Biology, Ecology and Earth Sciences of the University of Calabria. He mainly works on topics related to the stratigraphic and sedimentological analysis of siliciclastic, volcanoclastic and evaporitic depositional systems and on of production, transport and sedimentation at the scale of hydrographic basins and coastal units aimed at: interpretation of depositional environments; definition of the main physico-chemical environmental parameters; reconstruction of 2-3D geological models in the hydrogeological and geological-application fields; mining research (rock salt); application of models for the management of sediments in rivers and coasts; enhancement of the geological heritage (geosites).
