SUMMARY Full Professor of Operations Research at the Dept. of Mechanical, Energy, Management Engineering (DIMEG) - University of Calabria. Areas of research activities and expertise are the design and development of computational models and numerical algorithms for the solution of healthcare and clinical decision making problems, the development of optimization models for the effective and efficient planning and management of healthcare services delivery. He has been and is currently involved in research projects sponsored by the Italian Ministry of Research, Italian Ministry of Economic Development, European Commission. He is co-author of several papers in refereed journals on numerical methods for nonlinear optimization, computational engineering and parallel algorithms, and models and methods for the healthcare organization, planning and management.
