Brunella SERPE is associate professor of History of Pedagogy (M-Ped / 02) at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Calabria. He teaches History of School and Education and Children's Literature for the Master's Degree Course in Primary Education.
The study and research activity favors the study of the French historiography of "Les Annales d'histoire économique et sociale", a constant that the deepening and reflection on the social, cultural, educational and scholastic history of Southern Italy, with particular regard to Calabria. This more strictly southern line of studies, however, is not detached from the more general national context within which it acquires problems and legitimacy.
She is Coordinator of the Local Unit of the University of Calabria of the Project of Relevant National Interest (PRIN 2017) "Literacy and Development in Southern Italy from Italian Unification to the Giolittian Era (1861-1914)".
