The Erasmus+ programme promotes international mobility and multilateral cooperation among European higher education institutions according to the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education “ECHE”.

Erasmus+ allows 1st and 2nd cycle students, regularly attending and enrolled at the University of Calabria, to carry out a period of continuous study sitting examinations or doing thesis research, from a minimum of 2 months to a maximum of 12, in other EU Countries, participating in the Programme, or in non-EU partner Countries, allowing at same time students and staff to come from abroad.

Erasmus+ mobility offers students the opportunity to have an enriching personal experience that adds value to the development of soft and hard skills, as well as the improvement of language skills, the knowledge of the economic and social conditions of the host country and their education system.

+ Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) is the passport for Higher Education Institutions to participate in Erasmus+ mobility and cooperation activities 2021-2027.

The ECHE - Erasmus Charter for Higher Education is the passport that any higher education institution must have in order to participate in the programme’s activities, from individual mobility to cooperation projects. 

It is a certificate, issued by the European Commission, which contains the fundamental principles to be respected in order to ensure the good quality of Erasmus activities and which must be complied with by the university, which undertakes to fully digitalise the administrative processes relating to mobility management and to ensure the automatic recognition of credits earned abroad.
