Training of researchers with interdisciplinary knowledge and high scientific qualification in the doctorate areas, able to manage multidisciplinary research and development projects with high impact.

The PhD course is organized in two curricula.

• Curriculum "Physical sciences and technologies".
• Curriculum "Advanced materials: chemistry and technologies".

The training activities consist of thematic courses specific of each curriculum and transversal courses. It involves the development of a research project to be carried out at University's facilities and infrastructures, and at foreign institutions.

Employment as R&D project leader and as researcher in scientific and technological research institutions, public and private, national and international, and companies that require advanced production and analysis methodologies.
