Ha conseguito la laurea il 22/07/1999 presso la Facoltà di Ingegneria dell’Università degli Studi della Calabria con la votazione di 110/110 e lode discutendo la tesi “Caratterizzazione di materiali anisotropi con tecniche interferometriche speckle a variazione di fase”, relatori proff. A. Poggialini e L. Pagnotta. Dal 01/01/2000 al 31/12/2002 ha frequentato i corsi di Dottorato di Ricerca in Ingegneria Meccanica, I ciclo, con curriculum Meccanica dei Materiali; la borsa è stata vinta presso il Dipartimento di Ingegneria Meccanica, Nucleare e della Produzione dell’Università di Pisa. Il titolo scelto come tesi di Dottorato è “Analisi del comportamento meccanico di materiali non convenzionali mediante tecniche interferometriche speckle”. L’esame di Dottorato è stato sostenuto con esito positivo il 14/02/2003. Dal 01/10/2002 è Ricercatore Universitario presso la Facoltà di Ingegneria dell’Università della Calaria. La sua attività fino ad oggi ha essenzialmente interessato le seguenti tematiche: 1. Controlli non distruttivi su materiali strutturali; 2. Sviluppo di interferometri speckle per la misura di microspostamenti; 3. Simulazione numerica dell’interferenza di campi speckle; 4. Sviluppo di strumenti software per l’acquisizione e l’analisi dei dati sperimentali; 5. Caratterizzazione elastica di materiali isotropi ed anisotropi; 6. Progettazione di componenti elettro-meccanici di basso costo; 7. Tensioni residue. L’attività didattica ha interessato i seguenti corsi: 1. Disegno di macchine; 2. Misure e strumentazioni industriali; 3. Costruzione di macchine; 4. Meccanica sperimentale; 5. Teoria e pratica delle misure; 6. Strumentazioni industriali; 7. Qualità nella progettazione e costruzione delle macchine; 8. Meccanica dei materiali; 9. Comportamento meccanico dei materiali; 10. Selezione e valutazione di materiali ingegneristici.
