Cesare Indiveri is the PI of the Biochemistry and Molecular Biotechnologies Unit, University of Calabria and Director of the IBIOM Institute at the National Research Council.  His research interests cover several aspects of nutrition and metabolism in health and diseases with particular reference to absorption, distribution and excretion of nutrients and drugs. Cesare Indiveri is also involved in drug-design projects and with his group set up a platform for membrane protein expression, purification and functional characterization in in vitro/in vivo systems. Over the years, Cesare Indiveri created a network of international collaborations with experts in the fields of transporters from plasma, mitochondrial and lysosomal membranes. Cesare Indiveri supervised several PhD students and more than 100 undergraduated students for master thesis.
