Full Professor of Applied Physics at the Physics Department of the University of Calabria. He is an experimental physicist active as a researcher in the fields of Science and Technology of Materials and Nanotechnologies, with a strong interest in research enhancement processes and technology transfer. He is the author of 150 ISI-registered international scientific publications and 15 patents. H-index = 28 with more than 2630 total citations (Scopus). He has been and is currently responsible for national and European research projects. He works as referee of several international Physics journals (Nature, Phys. Rev. Lett., Phys. Rev. E, Appl. Phys. Lett., JOP, MCLC, ...) He is also an evaluator for the European Commission, for the Swiss National Science Foundation, for the US National Science Foundation and for Italian public institutions.
