Born in Cosenza on November 23, 1967. 1993: Degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Siena with 110/110 cum laude discussing an experimental thesis entitled: "In vivo and in vitro cytochemical study of alkaline phosphatase and 5'-nucleotidase in bovine endothelial cells". 1993-94: Post-graduate internship in the laboratory of the Health Center and in the laboratory of the Department of Cell Biology of the University of Calabria: research experiences in the field of radioimmunoassay techniques. 1994: Qualification to practice the profession of Biologist at the University of Siena. 1995: Collaboration contract in the context of a research project on "Endocrine typing of patients with hormone-dependent neoplasms" approved in the Multi-annual Multifund Programs of the European Union (P.O.P. 90-94). 1995: Senior Tutor for General Pathology and Microbiology of the Degree Course in Pharmacy of the University of Calabria. 1995-97: Collaboration in a multicenter research program conducted in 5 European Union countries on calcium intake and peak bone mass (European CALEUR study). 1997-99: N.2 professional collaboration assignments of 12 months each in the context of research activities carried out by the Health Center of the University of Calabria. 1999-2000: Senior Tutor for Drug Analysis of the Degree Course in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology of the University of Calabria. 2000-2004: Technician of the technical-scientific and social-health area at the Health Center of the University of Calabria. 2001-2002: Research fellow at the laboratory directed by Prof. Michael J.
